As A Matter Of Fact, Spring Has Started To Be Sprung

Welcome back my friends to the blog that never ends, I'm so glad you could attend, sit on down and stay for a few minutes.

Well, it's been a very long time, but because I got motivated by the great Spring weather this weekend to shoot a cheesy video, I decided to share that same cheesy video with everyone today.

I'm shooting for a goal of being less sporadic with my photos/videos this year, and what better way to kick off the year than with a cheesy video shot by yours truly.

  1. I'm glad it finally sprung up there, G. :)

  2. Lynn: So am I.

It definitely helps chase away the doldrums, that's for sure.

  3. Hooray for springtime green! It has been in the 70s and sunny here this weekend, after hail and cold last week. Definitely helps the mood.

  4. M: No doubt about it, green definitely helps the mood.

Saturday it hit almost 80, but today it's been raining pretty much since noon.

  5. Your street reminds me SO much of the street I used to live on in New Jersey... I really miss the northeast sometimes! :)

Spring in Chicago has been weird this year -- we had a couple weeks of 70 and 80-degree temps back in March (which tricked all the trees into turning green), but April has been nothing but 40s and 50s. Can't wait for some warmer weather... :)

  6. Lisa: So far, spring temps have been pretty decent, with the range being the mid 50's to hi 60's, so I can't complain about that.

It's slowly making a reappearance on the mountain as you can see just a light shade of green for a canopy as you approach it from the main drag. Has a long ways to go, but I'm hoping for a darker green canopy by the summer.

  7. We've had unseasonably cool weather for a few days. It's been really nice.

  8. I live in Indiana so the weather changes as often as people change underwear.

We had a week or so of 80 degree weather in March then it dropped down to the 30's. Then back up to 80 again and now it's freezing! I never know how to dress this time of year. I go to work in shorts and a t-shirt and by the time I get off it's back to freezing!

Why can't it just get warm and stay warm?

  9. Charles: We have somewhat seasonable weather, with most of the temps staying in the 50-70 degree range.

    Kind of nice so far.

Dan: Because that would make way too much sense. :D

I've actually switched hoodies about a month ago, as I used to wear a fleece in the winter and now I'm wearing a lighter one for the colder days.

For now, I'm comfortable wearing just regular jeans and a short sleeve shirt for the week and weekend, but next month the temps should start spiking pretty bad.

  10. Yay! green returned finally! We're almost at that point here, the Oaks are pollinating, so got a head-ache. Good video-

I just got around to all your videos cause I just got on the good computer tonight!

  11. Snaggle: It certainly did.

Since that video, the mountain's canopy is about 75% full and the shade of green is about the shade of this blog's outer edges.

Congrats on the new/good computer! Sometimes, all you need to make your day is access to something that really works. :D
